Client: Lewis and Partners / Nestle
Description: Illustration for $100,000 candy bar
Software: Photoshop, Bryce and Illustrator
Production Notes: The client wanted to use the new one dollar gold coin in their ad, but they only had a stock photo of the coin. They wanted me to distort the photo in Photoshop. I suggested using a 3D program like Bryce to get there faster. First, I made a color and bump map of the coin in Photoshop and placed it on a gold cylinder in Bryce. I adjusted the bump level and the basic coin was done. I duplicated the coins and rotated them into different positions. I made a quick color map on the 3d surface for the reflections on the coin edges. Then I rendered the coins and outlined them in Photoshop. The coins were placed in Quark by the art director.
